La Liga champions Barcelona kick off their title defence on Saturday night with a clash against Alaves at the Camp Nou.

Summer signing Arturo Vidal is in line to make his La Liga debut for Barcelona, with the likes of Ivan Rakitic, Philippe Coutinho and Gerard Pique also in contention.

Lionel Messi is set to start having been officially confirmed as the club’s new captain.
